Flying Fox Fun

One of our stops on camp was the playground at the Puketapu domain. They had an awesome flying fox there, and most of the kids had a go. Look at the bottom to see the biggest kids of all!!!!!

Week 8 Pride Challenge

This week the students were given a technology task to complete.
They only had a limited amount of materials that they could use to build a bridge.
It had to cover a 30cm gap, and be strong enough to support the weight of the sellotape dispenser.
They had 5 sheets of newspaper, 1 metre of sellotape, 1 metre of string, 5 pieces of blutack, and 5 rubberbands.
There were some beautiful bridges, but only one was strong enough to hold the sellotape.
Well done to Caitlin, Jamie, Connor, and Keighan.

Amazing Izrael

Today the Room 12 students did a quick write. One of the tasks in the quick write was to write what they would do with one wish.
Izrael wrote "If I had one wish, I would wish for all of the sick people in hospitals to become healthy again."
What an amazing and self-less wish Izrael.

Campfire building

Students, with the help of an adult, had to build their own campfire.
They were very successful, with all fires eventually lighting that night.
What a great job the students did!

Survival Shelter

The students had to create a shelter out of items they found around camp. They were pretty good!!!!

Tent-pitching

The dad's on camp gave the kids a demonstration.........then the kids had to attempt it themselves in small groups.
