Found in my garden

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all having a good weekend! I saw some girls play netball today. They were playing with lots of skill, and definitely lots of PRIDE.

Also today, I found something special in my garden. It is a baby snail, and it is the smallest snail I have ever seen. Here is a picture of it on my hand so you can see how tiny it is.

Postcard Week 2

Well done to Liske who received the postcard this week. Liske is always such a hard worker. She is always a very nice friend and partner in the classroom. She always has good manners, and treats everyone with respect. She had the ability to show initiative, which is awesome.
She even asks how she can improve for next time.
Awesome work Liske- you are a learning superstar.


Room 12 teachers

Today Room 12 were split into three groups to learn some new sports skills. One group even got to be the teachers. They were really good at explaining the skills that the other kids were trying to learn. Awesome work Room 12!











Talent Time

Today some Room 12 students were brave enough to share a talent with the class. I am so proud of these students. It can be very hard to stand in front of people and do something, on your own, or in a group.
I hope to see some more students next week!

A recent study done by scientists found that females blink about 19 times a minute, while men blink about 11 times.

Week 11 Postcard Recipient: Tarshay Dickey


What an amazing student Tarshay is!
She is so responsible, sensible and respectful. She always makes good choices, and has been great at demonstrating her social skills this term.
I am so impressed with the lovely way that she treats others, and the way she conducts herself.

Super Quiz champions

Well done to Georgia and George who are Room 12's term 1 super quiz champions.

They scored 84/100 and scored highly in every category. They did especially well to get a 10/10 on the vegetables section. I hope you eat those at home!

Buddy class hunting!

The weather today was awful, but that didn't stop Room 1 and 12 from their fun activity. Each child had hidden a special treat somewhere in the school. They had drawn a map and written a set of instructions. Then they had to pair up, swap maps, and get searching.
Room 12 were excellent role models and behaved so maturely. Well done!

Homework Week 11

Hi everyone,
Homework this week is a little different. On Thursday we will have a quiz.
There will be categories on Maths, Reading skills, famous faces, Maori, sports, science, identifying flowers, identifying fruits and vegetables and current events. The current events will be from the last two weeks.
For your homework, practice last weeks flowers, and try to learn some more.
Look at some different fruits and vegetables, and what they look like when they are picked. You might be surprised with how some of them look!
Also, watch the news, and talk to the adults at home about what is happening in the country, and who the people are that are on the news.
Remember, the more effort you put in, the better you will score!

Week 10 postcard recipient: Bodie


Well done to Bodie who is Room 12's latest postcard recipient. Bodie is such an amazing class member. He always gives his best effort, and he is so positive all the time.
He is always helpful to adults and class members. Bodie is very friendly and is great at making others feel included in the classroom. His behaviour is always excellent.
